Subject: Please Support Resolution 234-25 at 8/19/25 Meeting
Aloha Members of the Hawaii County Council Policy Committee on Environmental and Natural Resource
Management.
Please vote for Resolution 234-25 to support the protection of Pohakuloa. It's my understanding that
Pohakuloa is a wahi pana with Native Hawaiian cultural sites and endangered species. Using the area for
live fire and bombings is wholly inappropriate and in noway contributes to the preservation of the land,
the flora and fauna, and the culture of this area. To preserve its cultural, environmental and spiritual
significance, please vote for Resolution 234-25 and help Pohakuloa to heal and flourish.
