Subject: Testimony in Strong Support of Resolution 234-25
Hello everyone with power to make lasting and impactful decisions for land, people, and creatures,
I am someone with family and friends on the islands, and a visitor over the years. I am in strong support of
Resolution 234-25, which urges the state to ensure the health and safety of Hawaii Island residents by
requesting that the military cease all bombing and desecration activities at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA),
reject land swaps and lease renewals without strict stipulations, and conduct a full Ka Pa'akai Analysis of the
area.
Listen to, and uplift kanaka voices. Do not let imperialist militarism strong arm you into being weak. Show
strength by protecting the lands and peoples from the colonizing force.
For a sovereign Hawaii,
