RESOLUTION NO. 40G 25
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PAY FOR THE USE OF THE KONA TROLLEY
FOR THE WEST HAWAI`I COUNTY BAND FOR COMMUNITY PARADES.
WHEREAS, the West Hawaii County Band, a civic band and sub -unit of the Hawaii
County Band, is comprised of local musicians in Kona that perform at monthly concerts, civic
events, cultural events, and parades on the west side of Hawaii Island; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for the rental of
the Kona Trolley to transport the band musicians and their instruments to perform at community
parades in Kona, including the Kona Christmas Parade scheduled for December 13, 2025, and
the King Kamehameha Parade scheduled for June 6, 2026; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to pay for the use of the Kona Trolley for the West Hawaii County Band
for community parades.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terns of
this resolution.
