Hulu Mamo Hawaiian Civic Club focuses on Aloha'Aina issues across the pae'aina, and we urge the passage of this resolution, demanding the Armyto comply with the established processes and requirements in order to receive any type of future land agreement for PTA. The state BLNR rejected the FEIS that was previously submitted, as it was incomplete, and to allow any other type of transaction to occur, including land swaps or lease renewals, would be to evade the established processes and requirements and disregards the democratic process. The opposition to renewing the PTA lease is long-standing and well-known. The many hours of testifying and hundreds of written pages submitted when the FEIS was being reviewed shows how important of a matter this is, and how lacking the previous efforts the Army has made has been. The abundance of testimony also brought up countless environmental, health, and cultural concerns, that need to be addressed in any future land agreement. We urge you to pass this resolution, and stand with the community you represent, which have given overwhelming opposition to the renewal of PTA's lease without a full and complete application, including completing a Ka Pa'akai analysis, and allowing for public feedback. Mahalo for your time, Keoni Shizuma Pelekikena, Hulu Mamo Hawaiian Civic Club Comm. o b Ref. To: Ref. Date AUG 7 9 LA
