Kimball, Council Member( <br />® <br />" <br />District 1 <br />SUBJECT: <br />Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 107; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 17 OF THE HAWAI`I COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 <br />EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO THE FIRE CODE. <br />Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 107. The proposed amendment is <br />shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 107; material to be <br />deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be inserted is underscored. <br />SECTION 2 of Bill No. 107, which amends chapter 17, article 1, division 1, of the Hawaii <br />County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by amending the new section <br />entitled "State fire code adopted" to read as follows: <br />"Section 17-1- . State fire code adopted. <br />The most recent State Fire Code, as adopted by the State Fire Council and codified <br />in the Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 12, Chapter 45, is hereby adopted, <br />incorporated herein by reference, and made a part hereofj:], subject to amendments as <br />hereinafter set forth. <br />UDon the adoution of a new State Fire Code, any amendments_ hereinafter set forth <br />shall remain in effect, subject to the authority of the fire chief to determine the <br />applicability of such amendments to the code." <br />Due to the limited scope of this proposed amendment, a copy of the new draft of this bill that <br />would result if the amendment was adopted is not attached. <br />1 <br />Mahalo nui. <br />1aW.08179 <br />Hawai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />Comm. l <br />Ref.
