US Army Leaseholds
Aloha,
I am a Hawaii resident and DO NOT SUPPORTfurther leasing of Hawaii land to the US Government in any
way, shape, or form. The US Government has NOT shown itself to be a good neighbor: Bombing
Kaho'olawe, Red Hill Fuel Spill, explosive naval mining of Hawaiian waters, and Pohakuloa to name a few
instances. The US Government doesn't seem to understand that they must produce a SATISFACTORY
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). End the live fire and bombing at Pohakuloa; Protect air, water, and sacred lands. No
lease. No land swap. No land sale. Protect the public trust. REMEMBER: Sec Dan Driscoll is a Trump appointee,
and as such is beholden to Trump and the Republicans, who don't give a damn about anything other than
themselves. And that does not include Hawaii. Sothis "good neighbor" stuff is just kukai.
