COUNTY OF HAWAI`I RESOLUTION NO. STATE OF HAWAI`I 417 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE FRIENDS OF THE PALACE THEATER FOR THE 6TH ANNUAL "TIS THE SEASON — A WALK THROUGH CHRISTMAS TOWN" EVENT. WHEREAS, the Friends of the Palace Theater is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to revitalize, restore, and sustain the historic Palace Theater as a venue that will educate, entertain, and inspire our diverse community, while fostering events that strengthen community connection, promote the arts, and offer meaningful cultural experiences for residents of all ages; and WHEREAS, the Friends of the Palace Theater is requesting funds for expenses relating to the 6th Annual "Tis the Season — A Walk Through Christmas Town" event being held on December 20, 2025, including live musical entertainment, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and the arts; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Friends of the Palace Theater for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,500 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $1,500 CREDITED TO 1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $1,500 Public Programs 530115 Misc.
