Aloha Council Members!
My name is James Browne
and I support Resolution # 286-25 being heard by the LAAC on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025
I've lived in Pahoa Honolulu Landing for over 20 years! It's been a privilege and a blessing to be able to
Live on the edge of the jungle in the shadow of Hawaii's past history yet still having one foot in modern
society and one foot in the past!
Honolulu Landing is a treasure trove of undiscovered Ancient Hawaiian Archaeological Resources! These
undiscovered material remains and other artifacts of past Hawaiian human activities, include artifacts
(objects made or modified by Hawaiians), features (activities that took place in the village where
Honolulu Landing is located) which can also include grave sites!
Not to mention there are many other discoveries at many other sites scattered across the 346 acres of an
Ancient Hawaiian Historical Village, that needs to be preserved! These possible findings are
irreplaceable, non-renewable resources, that must be protected to preserve Hawaii's cultural heritage
for future generations!

This matter is a greater urgency because from my understanding the Real Estate Agent has already
shown the property to interested representatives!
Do we really want another Mark Zuckerberg situation?

Our community which is located close to Honolulu Landing has dramatically become densely populated
with cars and the construction homes!
My request is that the County Of Hawaii purchase the 364 acres of land known as Honolulu Landing to be
held in perpetuity as Sanctuary An Ancient Historical Hawaiian Village Preservation Site. Protected from
any future development!
Mahalo for your time and consideration.
