My name is Marcia Browne. I have been a resident of Pahoa for over 20 plus years. I live within walking distance of
Honolulu Landing.
I support Resolution #286-25 being heard by the LAAC on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025
Honolulu Landing is a unique area that I have enjoyed for many years! I find much pleasure being able to just go to this
area and paint and draw at the edge of the water. This, piece of Hawaii holds many memories of past generations.
In fact, I feel that this area that was once a thriving seaside village should be deemed a Preservation Site! It should be
made an Ancient Hawaiian Historical Preservation Site! Many of us in our community feel that our area is becoming too
over developed and a lot of history is being lost.
Please make the decision to buy these 364 acres of land, so that it can be held in perpetuity for future generations as a
homage to Hawaii's Ancient Way of Life. There are many treasures yet to be discovered. This piece of property needs to
be preserved from commercial development and saved for future generations.
