First and foremost reason is the preservation of history and to instruct future generations. Second is the economic considerations. It has been proven by experience that development will become counter productive. The needs of the community will transform into being unmet and a burden for future generations to come. If the 364 acres are to be purchased by the state and the land is managed as conservation the future generations will have the ability to uphold culture and malama the land. Please take into consideration the importance of conserving this prized land for the future. oC-) co Mahalo piha ra 0 0 < Lona K MacKelvie -TI ; y =r— 01 .c Comm. Ref. To: F. Date - 2 2
