Together, these parcels comprise the entire ahupua'a of Honolulu in Puna. I was horrified to hear that this land is slated to be privately acquired. This must not happen! It would be an absolute tragedy for the people of Hawaii, especially the native peoples. This land is an ancient site and must be acquired by the state or county and put under protection. It is vital to research, history, and to the kanaka of Hawai'i. I respectfully urge Mayor Alameda, the Council, LAAC, and the PONC Commission to reaffirm and complete the purchase acquisition that was already approved in 2007. Protecting the ahupua'a of Honolulu will ensure this wahi pana is preserved and cared for in perpetuity. Mahalo nui for your dedication and for considering this urgent matter. I am available at 808-238-4786 or amberseber(a)gmail.com should you require additional information or personal testimony. Mahalo, Amber Seber Pahoa, HI Comm. W-E-2 Ref. To:Ref. Da2 0=25
