This land is zoned conservation, and military training is not compatible with conservation
zoning. These lands are ceded lands. Their alienation requires supermajority state legislative
approval, as mandated by Hawai`i's constitution. The military disguises itself as good, neighbors
whose interests are aligned with those of Hawaii, and it comes in good faith. Yet when Hawaii asserts
its sovereignty through law and community opposition, the game changes. Federal aggression rears
its ugly head. The military has NEVER been a good neighbor.

We now have the live -streamed genocide happening in Palestine, today a ground assault began in
Gaza to complete the ethnic cleansing of innocent Palestinian civilians most of them children. 40,000
civilians slaughtered over 15,000 children over 70 percent of the homes, buildings and infrastructure
destroyed none of which could have been carried out without US military support. The training for
genocidal occupying forces and testing of combat -ready munitions are conducted by the US military,
many of whom train at the PTA complex. Actions taken at PTA aid and abet war crimes. It is a
violation of the spiritual values that are the foundation of our people.
