Subject: Resolution 234-25
Aloha Committee Members, I strongly support resolution 234-25.
1 am a high school student and I have lived here all my life. To see that our lands are being
harmed and not being taken care of frightens me because for our future and many other
generations to come. We want them to be able to live here. The main reason I support this
resolution is because of the findings of our kupunas' bones and cultural sites, and the removal
of cultural artifacts.
This unsettles me deeply because the military has no right to touch any of our cultural
artifacts. To promise us that you will protect our lands and then not do it is shameful. Why
should we listen to their promises now, when they have failed to protect cultural artifacts and
sites?
Mahalo for listening
My name is Kiana Kawamoto
