Aloha nui mai kakou,
I write in strong support Res. 234-25. Many will write long letters stating all the specifics of why our %ina should be
protected. I write just to say that we are living in a world where peace and safety are increasingly hard to find.
Hawai'i and its people are so tired of this kind of desecration. It is exhausting for'aina and kanaka. But the way it
implicates us in the larger systems of violence operating globally is also worth considering, especially with the
ongoing genocide in Palestine. Let us move to a place, a pae 'aina, of peace. Let us banish all live fire training from
our lands and waters, from Pohakuloa to Papahanaumokunuiakea. Support this resolution and know that you
supported peace both here at home and in the world.
