Subject: Support Res. 234-25
Aloha Council Members,
I strongly support Resolution 234-25.We cannot trust the US Military to clean up their messes or be
transparent with their practices on this sacred place. Training at Pohakuloa has already caused serious
harm -burning nearly 20,000 acres, contaminating the land, and threatening endangered species. Beneath
this area lies a major aquifer that supplies fresh water to Hawaii Island, and the military's track record
shows they are not equipped to protect it.
Pohakuloa can be used as a facility to hold migrants and opponents of the current Federal Government,
and this is not something we should have on our hands. Please support this resolution to protect the land,
water, and people of Hawai`i.Mahalo,
Noelle Lindenmarm (she/her/hers), Kailua-Kona
