1 am writing to support Resolution 234-25.
I live in Lielani Estates, Pahoa and support this resolution because I feel that Pohakuloa presents a
real and eminent danger to all residents and visitors on Hawaii Island (Moku o Keawe).
The use of dirty bombs and other munitions cannot be cleaned adequately to insure the safe use of
the land after the activities of the military end. The desecration is permanent.
Also, what happens if a volcanic eruption encroaches on Pohakuloa? Stored munitions would be a
great hazard if touched by lava. Everyone on the island could be gravely affected. Never forget that
we live on an Island with 3 powerful and active volcanos.
Thank you for your consideration of this testimony and vote to support Resolution 234-25. Do not
give in to the administration .... We must resist. o
