The Hawaii Greens have decided to make the military leases a priority issue for the next 4 years. The US Military has been a very bad tenant for Hawai'i, the destruction to the land, water, and air are very real issues that are before the Council members today in 2025. The contamination of the land, without a thought to clean up, is just one way the US Military has abused the lease lands for generations. The cleanup of PTA is required by their lease. The Greens see this as a violation of said lease. The US Military is Not a good steward of the land. The settler colonialism mentality, has run out of steam and it is now up to us , to right the wrongs of the past. P6hakuloa is a sacred area that deserves to be respected and treated with the utmost care. The cultural significance of this land is irreplaceable, and for generations it has been closed off to the caretakers of this land, the native Hawaiian people. The grief runs deep through the land and the people. What have we learned, over the past 70 plus years with the contamination at Red Hill, on the neighboring Island of O'ahu ???? Water is life, that is what we have learned. We, the people of this Island, need to protect Hawaii's' natural resources! The aquifer that lies beneath Pohakuloa is something we all need to protect like our lives depend upon it, because OUR LIVES DO depend on clean water. We cannot drink Al, military munitions,or the almighty tourism dollar, buVr Comm. o Ref. To: Ref. Date dependent upon clean water for our children and all future generations. The people will rise up to protect this sacred land. We humbly ask you to be on the forefront of the movement to help Hawaii heal from the bombings, fires , and misuse of the land at Pohakuloa. On behalf of the Green Party of Hawaii, we ask that you support resolution 234-25, to protect the People, the Water, and yes the Land, Mahalo , Green Party of Hawai'i Susan RobertsEmery co chair GPH Paauilo Sent from my iPad
