Aloha Council Members,I strongly support this resolution.US Military training at Pdhakuloa has already
caused serious harm -burning nearly 20,000 acres, contaminating the land, and threatening endangered
species. Beneath this area lies a major aquifer that supplies fresh water to Hawaii Island, and the
military's track record shows they are not equipped to protect it.The US Navy has already acknowledged
the wrong that was done on Kaho`olawe by this kind of practice. It is appalling that the US army would
ignore mistakes made in the past that caused lives and precious resources to be lost as they continue to
bomb our island as if our lives and lands are nothing but expendable assets of the US.
Please support this resolution to protect the land, water, and people of Hawai`i.Me ke aloha `aina,
Kiliona Young
