Subject: Testimony in Support of a Plastic Free Hawaii Island
Aloha Chair Hustace, Vice Chair Kierkiewicz, and Councilmembers, I am writing to express my strong
support for Bill 20, which will ban single -use plastics such as cups, forks, and straws in Hawai'i County.
These items are a major source of litter and plastic pollution and threaten our precious natural
resources. Passing Bill20 is an important step to protect our island home for future generations. I
respectfully urge you to vote YES on Bill20. Mahalo,
