Ban single use plastic!!
Aloha!
The ban of single use plastic on the islands of Hawaii is something I am super passionate about. Many
places on the mainland has this ban in place forthe past couple of years already and Hawaii needs to
follow lead as our resources and islands are in lacking in proper infrastructure to tackle this problem and
it is suffering the consequences of plastic pollution. It affects not only our lands, the ocean and the
creatures of the sea, but also affects our landfill which are overflowing and not able to handle the waste
and properly disposal or recycling. We do not have a statewide recycling service with our trash service
and these plastics that last for hundreds of years are showing up everywhere.
Please ban single use plastic once and for all if you care or love our islands and want to see it stay
beautiful as ever!! Q
