Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 110, reports as follows:
Bill No. 110, transmitted by Research and Development Director Benson Medina via
Communication No. 631, dated November 24, 2025, amends Ordinance No. 25-45, as amended,
the Operating Budget of the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026.
This bill increases revenues in the revenues in the State Grants — Hawai`i County Food Access
Summit Program account ($40,000) and appropriates the same to the Hawaii County Food
Access Summit Program account. Funds will be used to plan and facilitate two Food Access
Summits that will be used to collect data, support community collaboration, and showcase
successful projects.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 110, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
