No. 660/Res. No. 426-25 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 426-25, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 426-25, transmitted by Fire Chief Kazuo S.K.L. Todd via Communication No. 660, <br />dated December 12, 2025, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with <br />the State of Hawaii, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, to receive a hazard mitigation <br />grant. <br />This resolution allows for the receipt of $68,000 of federally -derived funds to support Phase 1 <br />(planning and preparatory activities) of the Community Wildfire Fuels Reduction and Defensible <br />Space Project. <br />Deputy Fire Chief Daniel Volpe was present to provide background on this measure. <br />Committee Member James E.
