Subject: In Support of Hawai'i County Council Draft Resolution 320-25

Dear Council Members,
I write to express my strong support for Hawaii County Council
Draft Resolution 320-25 and respectfully urge you to support its
passage.
The principles of due process and the constitutional protections
guaranteed under both the United States and Hawaii State
Constitutions form the foundation of our democracy. These rights
are increasingly at risk, and it is imperative that our County
reaffirm its commitment to upholding them.
By adopting this resolution, the Council will send a clear message
that Hawaii County stands firm in defense of constitutional rights
and remains faithful to the oaths of office taken by its elected
officials.
Resolution 320-25 reaffirms the County's duty to serve all
residents of our island home with fairness, integrity, and respect
for the rule of law. I urge you to support it wholeheartedly.
