Subject: Bill 82 Amends Chapter 24 Regarding Pedestrians
Aloha,
I support Bill 82, which amends Chapter 24 regarding pedestrians. The median, shoulder areas, in Hilo
and
Kailua-Kona are full of homeless individuals that are seeking money from drivers due to their current
plight.
This is an eyesore and causes a roadway safety issue.
The county needs to disincentivize these individuals from continuingto do this.) hope this current
legislation passes
legal muster, especially when the previous attempt to address this issue failed. The council cannot to
continue to put their
head in the sand regardingthis issue.. G
