I am a resident of Kailua Kona,
born and raised in Kealakekua and very concerned about the
Icrq'
presence on our island!
Every morning Kona Officer Sony Villesca (formerly Sgt. David Matsushima) emails a custody list and
CCs email: schhw ice.dhs.gov which belongs to Ryan Faulkner. The Big Island Police are directly
supporting ICE!
I am writing to express that Mayor Dr. Kimo Alameda reviewthe existing and potential agreements with
public and private partners to ensure constitutional rights of residents are protected!
I demand the Hawai' i Police Department to limit its involvement with the United States Department of
Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement to cases involving criminal activity.
Further and clearly requesting to rescind all MOUs with ICE/HSI, reject any 287(g) agreements with the
federal government and ensure Hawai'! Police Department officers are always properly identified and in
uniform, except in legitimate undercover criminal operations, not immigration raids.
