Subject: Testimony in Strong Support of Res 320-25
Aloha Members of the County Council. I am Nancy Moser, a citizen of the United States and the State of
Hawaii. I'm a long-time resident of Hawaii County, sequentially in locations of Ke'ei, Pepe'ekeo, Hilo,
then in 2005 with a caregiving break to support my elderly parents back to my childhood family home in
-Honolulu, and now since 2016 in Waikoloa Village.
I strongly urge your support for Resolution 320-25 which reaffirms our commitment to our county
population as the multicultural community rich in our respect for the due process of law.
Sometimes I've heard it said that "we shouldn't have to say that. It's already said in our laws." I say, I
don't buy that sentiment that tends to keep us quiet. Restating our fidelity to these principles feels tome
Like the least we can do. We are not bystanders to our principles. We shall be UPSTANDERS. Through this
Resolution we take ACTION to live our principles, by having all our county government entities survey the
text and intent of each of our public and private partnerships, strengthen our defense of our principles,
respect for everyone and for equality in due process of law.
Please vote YES in favor of Res, 320-25. Q
