Support Resolution 320-25 and the rights and dignity of all people
Res. 320-25: EXPRESSES SUPPORT FOR DUE PROCESS AND THE PROTECTION OF CONSTITUTIONAL
RIGHTS FOR ALL RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII AND AFFIRMS THE COUNTY'S COMMITMENT
TO MULTICULTURALISM
AND ITS IMMIGRANT HERITAGE
Aloha council members,
It's.your kuleana as our regional and county reps to stand strong agains the tyranny (and 1 don't use the
word lightly) coming from the federal government against our state and our people. Unfortunately, there
are also some government officials in our own county and state who refuse to rise to the higher calling —
many who are the same spineless, "Democrats" who've given MAGA a life and raison det're by their
inaction, corporate coziness, and lack of transparency. Those leaders have caused the lack of support of
many residents who used to stand strongly with the democratic parry who no longer believe that that
party stands for and works to protect the deepest human rights and progressive values that made them
the party the backbone of this state's democracy.
Please use your integrity and position of power to insure that our county lives up to the highest values
and causes— power that denies and cuts out leaders and institutions who would call for a person
being
asked for their ID or treated as less than human because of their skin color or their first language.
