Subject: Testimony in Support of Bill 83
Aloha Councilmembers,
I am writingto express my strong support for Bill 83, which will ban single -use plastics such as cups,
forks, and straws in Hawaii County. These items are a major source of litter and plastic pollution. They
are rapidly addingto our landfill, and threaten our precious natural resources.
Passing Bill 83 is an important step to protect our island home forfuture generations. I respectfully urge
you to vote YES on Bill 83.
