' Aloha Council Members,
I am writing in strong support of Bill 83. Our County landfill is rapidly approaching capacity, and we
cannot afford to keep burying single -use plastics that will sit therefor generations. Bill 83 moves us
toward a more sustainable system by encouraging the use of compostable products that breakdown
responsibly and support future composting infrastructure.
This is a practical, necessary step to reduce waste, extend the life of our landfill, and protect our island
for future generations. Please pass Bill 83.
