Support Bill 831
I'm writing to you today in STRONG SUPPORT of Bill 83.
Our County landfill is nearly at capacity and we can't afford just to keep burying single use plastics that
will stay there for generations to come. Bill 83 moves Hawaii toward a more sustainable system by
encouraging the use of compostable products that break down responsibly and will support future
composting infrastrucure.
This is a necessary and pracrical step to reduce waste, extend the live of our landfill and help protect our
island for future generations.
Please pass Bill 83.
