SUPPORT OF BILL 83
Aloha Council Members,
1 am writing in strong support of Bill83.Our County landfill is rapidly approaching capacity, and we cannot
afford to keep burying single -use plastics that will sit therefor generations. Bill83 moves us toward a more
sustainable system by encouraging the use of compostable products that break down responsibly and
supportfuture composting infrastructure.
This is a practical, necessary step to reduce waste, extend the life of our landfill, and protect our island for
future generations. Please pass Bill 83.
Please pass this, Big Island is an amazing place and also home to so many that want to take care of it and all
that life here.
