She is a <br />1993 Kamehameha Schools Kapalama graduate and a licensed realtor with Hawaii Life. She is <br />committed to responsible stewardship of 'aina and community well-being. <br />Her family is rooted in Kona's culture and construction trades. Her tutu, a respected mana leo in <br />West Hawaii, emphasized the importance of 'aina and culture. These values are evident in her <br />actions and approach to community engagement and land use. Her professional expertise, <br />cultural grounding, and dedication to Kona make her well -suited for this role. <br />If confirmed, Mrs. Makaiau will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2030.
