COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />ti of Ni.M <br />RESOLUTION NO. 453 26 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAMAKUA YOUTH <br />FOUNDATION, INC., FOR ITS HAMAKUA YOUTH CENTER PROGRAMS. <br />WHEREAS, Hamakua Youth Foundation, Inc. (HYF), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization whose mission is to provide Hamakua youth the support and guidance essential to <br />positive growth by opening doorways to the world and sharing life skills rooted in the IIawaiian <br />values of kuleana, aloha, laulima (working together), and mahalo; and <br />WHEREAS, FIYF is requesting funds for expenses relating to program staffing, which <br />will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and <br />the arts, educational concerns, needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or <br />emotional disabilities, and the public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI°I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Hamakua Youth Foundation, Inc., for the <br />expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $5,000 <br />Public Programs <br />530115 Misc. Contract Services <br />(Hamakua Youth Foundation, Inc. — Hamakua <br />Youth Center Programs) <br />
