RESOLUTION NO. 455 26
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT
SCOREBOARD FOR KA`U HIGH AND PAHALA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN THE
KA`U DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports recreational programs,
projects, and services that help meet the needs of the Big Island community; and
WHEREAS, Ka`u High and Pahala Elementary School, one of only two schools in the
vast Ka`n district, needs a replacement scoreboard to be used for its athletic programs; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for the
purchase and installation of the new scoreboard; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase a new scoreboard for Ka`u High and Pahala Elementary
School.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Packs and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
