RESOLUTION NO. 464 26
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE HAWAI`I FIRE DEPARTMENT TO
COVER COSTS FOR A NEW AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH AT THE HAIHAI
FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department is primarily responsible for fire protection and
suppression, pre -hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, hazardous
materials response, ocean safety, fire prevention, and public education for the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department is requesting funds to help cover the costs for
a new automatic transfer switch (ATS) at the Haihai Fire Station, which will serve a public
purpose by ensuring power to the station during power outages; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire
Department to help cover the costs for a new ATS at the Haihai Fire Station.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Fire Chief and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
