Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 460-26, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 460-26, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel J S. Yoshimoto via
Communication No. 719, dated January 28, 2026, authorizes the payment of funds of later fiscal
years to enter into a multi -year lease agreement for real property to be used by the Office of the
Corporation Counsel.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a three-year lease agreement with two options
to extend the lease for an additional three years at an estimated monthly cost of approximately
$2,600 with Joy A. San Buenaventura, Attorney at Law, A Law Corporation, for space located at
101 Aupuni Street.
Assistant Corporation Counsel J Yoshimoto was present and provided a brief overview.
Committee Member Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder proposed an amendment via Communication 719.1,
which would correct the name of the landlord of the property.
Resolution 460-26 was amended to Draft 2, with seven "ayes," with Committee Members Holeka
Goro Inaba and Rebecca Villegas absent.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 460-26, as
amended to Draft 2, and recommends its adoption.
