BY RESOLUTION NO. 248-25.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 248-25, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawai‘i on August 6, 2025, transferred an appropriation of $5,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the Department
of Research and Development; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to North Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to the Kohala
Cares Project; and
WHEREAS, a grant agreement with North Kohala Community Resource Center could not be executed within the required timeframe; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development now wishes to return the unawarded funds back to the Council; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
