COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I
RESOLUTION NO. 493 26
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO RETURN GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY
AWARDED BY RESOLUTION NO.248-25.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 248-25, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawaii
on August 6, 2025, transferred an appropriation of $5,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the
Department of Research and Development; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to North
Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to
the Kohala Cares Project; and
WHEREAS, a grant agreement with North Kohala Community Resource Center could
not be executed within the required timeframe; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development now wishes to return the
unawarded funds back to the Council; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAPI that the
following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-16122 Dept of Research & Development —
Agriculture R&D OCE
CREDITED TO: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC —
Contingency Relief
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit copies of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
