No. 777 <br />Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred <br />Communication No. 777, reports as follows: <br />Communication No. 777, transmitted by Mayor C. Kimo Alameda, dated February 27, 2026, requests <br />the Council's review and confirmation of the nomination of Doreen L. Raymond to the Veterans <br />Advisory Committee. <br />Executive Assistant to the Mayor, Micah Alameda, was present in the West Hawaii Civic Center to <br />introduce Ms. Raymond, who was also present in person in Kona. <br />Committee Members James E. Hustace and Dennis "Fresh" Onishi spoke in favor of the appointment. <br />Pursuant to Chapter 15, Article 7, Section 15-61 of the Hawaii County Code, members of the <br />Veterans Advisory Committee shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council. <br />Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs is in accord with the purpose <br />and intent of Communication No. 777, and recommends confirmation of the appointment of <br />Doreen L.
