Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Aurelio C. Mina, Jr. of Puna
(Council District 5) to the Hawaii County Planning Commission, to replace
Mary M. Katayama of Kona (Council District 7) whose term expired on
December 31, 1998.
Mr. Mina, a resident of Hawaii since 1970, has been a welder with Yamada &
Sons, Inc. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
If approved, Mr. Mina will serve the balance of the unexpired term which will end
