HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 555 Draft 01 2024-2026A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO RETURN GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY AWARDED
BY RESOLUTION NO. 471-26.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 471-26, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawai‘i on March 4, 2026, transferred an appropriation of $2,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the Department
of Liquor Control; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to Kahua Pa‘a Mua, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to the Kohala Intergenerational
Center’s 20th Anniversary event; and
WHEREAS, a grant agreement with Kahua Pa‘a Mua, Inc., was cancelled due to unforeseen weather conditions on March 14, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control now wishes to return the unawarded funds back to the Council; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
