LWw <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 523 2G <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO WAIAKEAWAENA <br />SCHOOL PTA FOR WAIAKEAWAENA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL'S MAY 2026 <br />CELEBRATIONS. <br />WHEREAS, Waiakeawaena School PTA is a unit of the Hawaii Congress of Parents, <br />Teachers, and Students, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to make every child's <br />potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all <br />children; and <br />WHEREAS, Waiakeawaena School PTA is requesting funds to support Waiakeawaena <br />Elementary School's (WES) May 2026 celebrations, including a high -quality sound system and <br />live streaming services for its May Day Program and contributions to venue costs for its Fifth <br />Grade Luncheon, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, and promoting the <br />interests of culture and the arts and educational concerns; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Waiakeawaena School PTA for the expenses <br />and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $897 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $897 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $897 <br />Public Programs <br />530115 Misc.
