To meet this objective, ENERGY STAR programs make it easy for consumers to choose cost-effective, energy saving homes and products that can offer a wide range of additional user benefits. The ENERGY STAR Homes Program works with builders (Partners), as well as associations, material manufacturers, rating companies and financing institutions (Allies), to grow the program's recognition as a symbol for quality. Together, the EPA, Partners, and Allies contribute to the program's success.
