NSY Oi y n � COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII Sri eF•N�� RESOLUTION NO. 528 2G A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOSPICE OF HILO TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATING TO ITS 22ND ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF LIFE. WHEREAS, Hospice of Hilo (doing business as Hawaii Care Choices) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides medical, social, and spiritual services for terminally ill patients at their end of life, as well as providing support to their families and caregivers; and WHEREAS, Hospice of Hilo is requesting funds for expenses related to its 22nd Annual Celebration of Life including radio advertisements, newspaper advertisements, television advertisements, social media boosts, banners, and printed materials, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical disabilities, victims of health and social crises, educational concerns, culture and arts, and the public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 are hereby transferred to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Hospice of Hilo for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $1,400 OUT AND FROM: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $1,400 CREDITED TO: 1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $1,400 Public Programs 530115 Misc.
