COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 533 2G <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE GRASSROOTS <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP FOR THE 2026 HILO LEI DAY FESTIVAL <br />AT KALAKAUA PARK. <br />WHEREAS, the Grassroots Community Development Group (GCDG) is a 50I(c)(3) <br />nonprofit organization that works to strengthen communities through the cooperative <br />development of programs and services for East Hawaii, especially for youth and families; and <br />WHEREAS, GCDG is requesting funds for an event banner, lei materials and supplies, <br />and master of ceremonies and lei demonstrator honoraria, which will serve a public purpose by <br />benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and the arts, educational concerns, <br />and the public health and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Grassroots Community Development Group <br />for the expenses and purposes identified in `Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />1010-11-10191 Clerk-CouncilSVC— Contingency Relief $1,500 <br />29"I 114011Cel <br />1010-21-25139 Department of Liquor Control $1,500 <br />Public Programs <br />530115 Misc.
