COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 789/Bill No. 144
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 144, reports as follows:
Bill No. 144, transmitted by Human Resources Director Sommer J. Tokihiro via Communication
No. 789, dated March 6, 2026, adopts a pay plan for persons employed by the County other than
those whose pay is otherwise provided for, designating payroll periods, pay days, prescribing
requirements with respect to official fidelity bonds, and repealing Ordinance No. 25-39 and all
amendments thereto, said ordinance to be known as the Salary Ordinance of 2026.
This bill establishes rates of compensation for appointed employees in the Legislative Branch
and the Office of Housing and Community Development, the County Physician, Student Helpers,
and Senior Community Services Aids for various County agencies.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 144, and
recommends its passage on first reading.
