COMMITTEE ON FINANCE
Re: Comm. No. 786/Res. No. 494-26
Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 494-26, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 494-26, transmitted by Interim Fire Chief Daniel J. Volpe via Communication
No. 786, dated February 27, 2026, authorizes the payment of funds of later fiscal years to enter
into a multi -year lease agreement for real property to be used by the Hawaii Fire Department.
This resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement with Maui
Varieties Investments, Inc., with an estimated cost of $2,547.23 per month, for two units located
at 95-1163 Ka`alaiki Road.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 494-26, and
recommends its adoption.
