HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 557 Draft 01 2024-2026A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO RETURN GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY AWARDED
BY RESOLUTION NO. 245-25.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 245-25, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawai‘i on July 23, 2025, transferred an appropriation of $3,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the Department
of Parks and Recreation; and
WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to USA Volleyball Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to the 2025 Hawaiʻi Island
Labor Day Classic Volleyball Tournament; and
WHEREAS, USA Volleyball Inc., is returning funds that were not used from Resolution No. 245-25, in the amount of $1,150; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation wishes to return the unused funds back to the Council; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI‘I that the following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit copies of this resolution to the Parks and Recreation Director and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance
is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
