M<v os N!!a <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />�Tf Gf •N'.1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO RETURN GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY <br />AWARDED BY RESOLUTION NO.471-26. <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 471-26, adopted by the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />on March 4, 2026, transferred an appropriation of $2,000 from Contingency Relief funds to the <br />Department of Liquor Control; and <br />WHEREAS, this appropriation was intended to be utilized to award a grant to Kahua <br />Pa`a Mua, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for expenses relating to the Kohala <br />Intergenerational Center's 20th Anniversary event; and <br />WHEREAS, a grant agreement with Kahua Pa`a Mua, Inc., was cancelled due to <br />unforeseen weather conditions on March 14, 2026; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control now wishes to return the unawarded <br />funds back to the Council; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that the <br />following amount be and is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: GENERAL <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $2,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: 1010-21-25139 Dept of Liquor Control — <br />Public Programs- Misc <br />Contract Svcs <br />CREDITED TO: 1010-11-10191 Clerk -Council SVC — <br />Contingency Relief <br />
