Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance appropriating $122,000 for the Kealakehe
Police Station Refueling Station Upgrade project. This is to provide construction
management during construction. Based on the current manpower at the
Building Division, adequate supervision for a project of this magnitude is
unavailable.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of
Public Works.

A. REQUEST:
We are requesting that Ordinance00-64 for Capital Projects be amended to include the amount
of $122,000.00 to provide construction management for Kealakehe Police Station Refueling
Station Upgrade during construction.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
To provide Construction Management for Kealakehe Police Station Refueling Station Upgrade
during construction.
Based on the current manpower available to the DPW - Building Division, we are unable to
provide adequate supervision for a project of this size to oversee the project during construction.
